Bump in the Night – Meredith Spies

Julian Weems doesn’t believe in aliens, cryptids, ESP, pineapple on his pizza, or ghosts.
Oscar Fellowes is determined to change his mind about at least two of those things.

Julian Weems is a professional skeptic. Scratch that—he’s a disgraced ex-professor who just plays one on TV. Specifically, on UnReality’s soon-to-be-hit, Bump in the Night. Alongside medium Oscar Fellowes, Julian is set to investigate (alleged!) hauntings and get to the bottom of some old mysteries.

That thumping sound upstairs? Floorboards settling. The cabinets that won’t stay closed? Old hinges. The disembodied voices, flying dishes, and crying maid who disappears in front of your very eyes? Well, there’s explanations for those, too. Oscar has plenty of them. Just not anything Julian can accept.

You don’t have to believe in ghosts for them to believe in you.

Oscar Fellowes has dealt with skeptics his entire life. None of them have ever been quite like Julian Weems, though. He doesn’t have to be an empath to pick up on the mutual attraction between them and he’s willing to overlook—for now—Julian’s adamant refusal to accept what’s happening around them.

The Hendricks family who died over a century ago haven’t left their house, and they want help. The dead demand justice before they can rest in peace and their anger seems strong enough to reach between worlds.

Strays – Elizabeth Noble

Kyle Anderson grew up with the lie that he was one of the last humans born. Then Kyle’s quiet, lonely life as a research assistant and student is shattered when he discovers the government has been lying to the world for more than twenty years. Now on the run from authorities who would kill for his silence, Kyle is taken in by Daniel Shanks, a member of a militia group dedicated to discovering the truth.

Daniel has seen death and violence in this new, radically changed society, and the closer he gets to Kyle, the harder his fears ride him. They will need to stop listening to the lies told by the government and start facing the lies they’ve been telling themselves, because the only place strays like them may be safe in this uncertain world is in each other’s hearts.

Gargoyle Vigilante – M.M. Wilde

he world’s holiest relics are at risk, and the dawn of evil looms. Only the Shadow Slayers can keep the darkness at bay…

As a Shadow Slayer gargoyle appointed by the Archangel Michael, Dante has fought for centuries to defend the human realm. The rogue gargoyles he hunts are relentless in their quest to maim and destroy, but Dante is one of Heaven’s top warriors. However, Dante prefers eliminating the dark scourge by his own rules.

Amir is a student of Near Eastern studies who carries a secret. When Amir discovers his antique dealer uncle’s mutilated corpse, he flees in terror with the sacred artifact he swore to protect. Yet somewhere in the shadows, a sinister threat exists—one that seeks to steal his life as well as the treasure he guards.

Thrust into a world Amir never knew existed, he struggles to understand what part he must play. For Dante, he learns that only the touch of his Fated One can crack the stone of his cold, lonely heart. Together, they will risk everything to save the life of their unborn child.

This time, the battle is personal…

Eros Rising – Richard E. Williams
